Vijayakumar. He has to pay a fine of Rs. 10000, and the same will be given to the family of Naxal Varghese. The court has removed the third suspect DGP vijayan while the first suspect Ramachandran Nair, who killed naxal varghese was </span><span style="color:#006600;">died 4 years back due to illness. The 84 year old laxmana was the 2nd suspect of this case.</span><br /><div><span style="color:#006600;">Varghese was gunned down by police on February 18, 1970.The Judge said the first accused in the case, late CRPF constable P Ramachandran Nair, had committed the act of murder on the command of Lakshmana, second accused, the then Deputy Superintendent of Police.The case was revived a few years ago after Nair confessed in 1998 that he had shot Varghese at the behest of his superiors Vijayan and Lakshamana.
